FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do you take writing commissions?
Currently, no. Between working on the Darren's Death book series and working a full time job, I have very little time to take on other projects. But possibly in the future I may open up to it! :)
How long does it take you to write a book?
For me, personally, it took around 4-5 years, but I blame a large part of that on writer's block. I got 4 chapters down, and left it on the shelf for years, then I met Anna and Rachel at Clexacon 2018 and I finished the book within the next 12 months. Everyone is different when it comes to gathering the momentum to write. It's tough work! I think it is just a rite of passage for every creator to hit a little roadblock, but it doesn't mean you should ever give up. I learned two lessons over the years:
Where did you get the inspiration for your story?
Everywhere! In life, in media, in history, in fantasy. I draw from it all. If I see something that moves me, I'll use it as a source of motivation. My imagination has stuck with me ever since I was a kid, it never leaves my side. I've always been very introverted, so I've spent a lot of time creating make-believe worlds in my head!
Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, no. It is a non-refundable transaction.
Is the book available on paperback?
I'm trying like a bear to get paperback versions organized! It's all about finding the most cost-effective deal - it's a little trickier than I thought!
